Unibet Group Extends The Offer of Free Betfilter Licenses

One of the main goals for Unibet is to provide a gambling experience which is safe, secure and supportive.

One of the main goals for Unibet is to provide a gambling experience which is safe, secure and supportive. We understand that although we encourage customers who might be experiencing gambling problems to take a break from gambling, it may be difficult to remove access from all gambling websites.
Betfilter is an online software service that can help consumers block themselves from accessing from all gambling operators, and therefore helps them in their choice to control their gambling. This software is easy to install and will only block relevant gambling websites. At Unibet Group we understand that this is something customers may need in order to control their gambling across all our brands.

We are therefore offering free Betfilter licenses now also across our most recent additions, Stan James and iGame. We also understand that a tool such as Betfilter goes hand in hand with people undergoing therapy and we would also like to help outside of our group.

In January Unibet offered free Betfilter licenses to the counselling service BreakEven in the UK, and now we are happy to announce that we will be offering free Betfilter licenses to GamCare counselling clients. GamCare is the leading provider of information, advice, support and free counselling for the prevention and treatment of problem gambling in the United Kingdom.

“In Unibet Group we are passionate about doing the right things for our customers and at the heart of this is player protection. That is why we take a proactive approach to player safety promoting responsible gaming in a safe, secure and supportive environment. Providing Betfilter free to customers who needs this support is key to building a sustainable business”, says Henrik Tjärnström, CEO of Unibet Group.

Dirk Hansen, CEO at GamCare, says: “Self-exclusion may not be the whole solution for somebody concerned about their gambling, but it can certainly help if someone recognises that gambling may be a problem and we believe many of our counselling clients will be benefit from this additional support. For anyone who needs advice about problem gambling, our trained Advisers are available on the National Gambling HelpLine, Freephone 0808 8020 133 or via web chat at www.gamcare.org.uk, seven days a week from 8am – Midnight.”
